Barter Books is one of the largest second-hand bookshops in the country, located in the historic English market town of Alnwick, Northumberland owned and run by Stuart and Mary Manley. It is located in part of a superb old Victorian railway station designed by William Bell in 1887 in Alnmick. It has a lovely cafe and is the home of the original “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster.
