At Alnmouth Cottages families are always very welcome, We have indoor games for families to enjoy including; jigsaws, lego and then outdoors we have balls, bats, a tyre swing and a tree house!

The Tree House and Garden
We have lots of indoor and outdoor games for children to play with including lego, games, jigsaws and ball games. We also have a wonderful tree house in the huge woodland garden which has play tea sets and seating.

The Nearest Park – Alnmouth
In Alnmouth, near the little marina looking on to the estuary. It is just 5 minutes walk away. There are swings and slides and grass for playing with balls.
Nearest Pool – Alnwick Leisure Centre
Willowburn Sports & Leisure Centre has a 25 metre six lane main pool with moveable floor and a 10 metre teaching pool. The facilities are ideal for swimming for fitness, learning to swim or taking part in an aquafit class. All swimming lessons follow the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming and are available for both children and adults. The spacious sports hall is available for badminton, football, basketball, trampolining and more.
Willowburn Bouldering Wall
Willowburn Bouldering Wall offers active fun for children and adults of all ages (over five years) and abilities. Different routes are available so you can take a simple or more challenging journey up the rock face, with no need for ropes or harnesses.

Alnwick Castle
Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens are just 10 minutes drive away. Dress up in medieval costume and join the hustle and bustle of life in the 14th century. Try authentic medieval crafts, play traditional games in the square, and take your place on the throne of Hotspur Hall! Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone filmed on location at Alnwick Castle in autumn 2000.

Northumberland’s Award winning Visitor Attraction 2017! Amazing gardens and fabulous walks.
There are lovely little tractors for children to ride near to the fountain. It’s a good idea to take spare clothing as children love to run in and out of the fountains in the sunshine. There is a lovely fairy tale trail you can follow around the garden. The amazing tree-house is wonderful for a special meal during your holiday.

Cragside Hall
Extraordinary Victorian house, gardens and woodland – the wonder of its age. Enter the world of Lord Armstrong – Victorian inventor, innovator and landscape genius. Cragside house was truly a wonder of its age.
Discover the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity. It is crammed full of ingenious gadgets – most of them still working. The gardens are incredible. One of the largest rock gardens in Europe leads down to the Iron Bridge, which in turn leads to the formal garden. Children will love our adventure play area and exploring Nelly’s Labyrinth, a network of paths and tunnels cut out of a vast area of rhododendron forest.
